Health Considerations

Your Well-Being Comes First

Your comfort and safety always come first. Yoga can be a powerful way to build strength, awareness, and ease—but it only works when we listen to the body and meet it with care, especially if you’re navigating health issues or physical limitations.

Because these classes are small, there’s room for personalized attention. You’re always welcome to speak up, ask questions, or adjust the practice to suit your needs, so you don’t push through pain or do anything that doesn’t feel right.

When to Check In with Your Doctor

If you’re managing any of the following conditions, it’s a good idea to talk with your healthcare provider before joining a class:

  • High or low blood pressure
  • Glaucoma or eye pressure issues
  • Heart conditions
  • Recent surgery or ongoing injuries
  • Chronic vertigo or fainting
  • Pregnancy (especially early or late stages)
  • Herniated discs, spinal issues, or sciatica
  • Joint replacements or significant arthritis
  • Osteoporosis or low bone density
  • Any condition that affects movement, balance, or breath

This is especially important in hammock-assisted classes, which can involve gentle inversions or spinal decompression.

A Gentle, Supportive Space

Even if your situation isn’t listed here, I encourage you to let me know before class. Whether you’re dealing with pain, stress, tension, or something else, alerting me helps you receive the right kind of support. Anything you share stays private.

And remember: yoga doesn’t have to be intense to be effective. Sometimes the most healing practices are the quiet, subtle ones.

Have Questions?

Not sure if a class is a good fit? Just reach out. I’m always happy to chat and help you make the choice that feels right for you.

Yoga is for you. That means creating a practice that works with your body, not against it.
